One more day!!! One more day until I’m 28, and one more day until I’m lounging on the beach sipping cocktails getting tan!….who am I kidding- I’ll be chasing a toddler around, applying spf100 because #pale and drinking all the water, but regardless I am SOO excited for our trip!
I want to share with you guys 5 ways to help you stay on track while your on vacation. I personally believe that while yes, you need to relax and enjoy your vacation and time with family- you can also stay on track and keep working towards your goals.
1. Plan your workouts ahead of time.
I’ve already written out 2 workouts I can do with no equipment that will only take me 20 minutes. I’ve also looked up what gyms are nearby that I could drop into if I have extra time.
2. Pack your own snacks
This is huge! If your out on the beach all day, and all of a sudden find yourself getting hangry and you have NOTHING in your beach bag? Could get ugly. Things I plan on taking with me: RX bars, chomps sticks, hard boiled eggs, and Justin’s almond butter packets.
3. Know what restaurants are close by
Before we leave for our trip I’ve already searched out some nearby restaurants that we plan on going to- and looked up their menu to see what I can have/want. I’m trying to stay Whole-30 ISH so knowing what’s available for me ahead of time will save me a lot of worry.
4. Plan what you want to indulge in.
It IS vacation after all- so there will be plenty of opportunities to eat/ drink things that I typically wouldn’t. I am going to be selective though instead of indulging in everything, I will DEFINITELY be eating a donut from the Donut Experience, and probably a piece of cake for my birthday.
5. Drink a lot of water
This is something you should do everyday, but especially on vacation. We will be outside ALOT this trip so it’s even more important to stay hydrated. Not to mention water helps flush out everything so if you indulge too much in something, just try drinking more water to help you bloat less.
I hope you guys have a great weekend and I’ll chat with you next week about how my trip went!
